After the civil war in Liberia, I visited Ghana, West Africa, with the purpose of encouraging leaders and local churches. During the first trip I had the good fortune of meeting Leroy Gibson who had begun training for young men and women who had been displaced by the conflict in Liberia. He was able to procure supplies and rent a facility so that he could train business, computer and leadership skills to people who showed interest and potential. This training facility carried on for several years until Leroy and his family repatriated to Liberia. Mr. Gibson recognized immediately the need to establish leadership training in Liberia as they had left a vacuum of solid leadership. Antioch Christian Ministries which I represented along with our founder Rev. Gertruda Armaly signed an agency agreement with what was called Christian Center for Leadership Development to partner in ministry. The expressed purpose was to develop leaders in church, government and business with righteousness and Godly character.

We travelled to Liberia on two occasions to teach in the leadership school and local churches as well as visit several governmental facilities to encourage the students. A situation arose that found the director having to emigrate to Canada. Mr. Gibson’s dream of training up leaders remained strong and he recently has revisited his dream of leadership development in Liberia as he has witnessed the struggle ongoing in his nation. He has engaged local people of influence and character and looks to revisit training up the next generation with principle of service and commitment to Christ.

My name is Rev. Mrs. Juliana Nagbe, a product of shalom leadership program in Gomoa District,  Ghana. Born again in the late eighties, I had the passion to carry the word of God and be a blessing to many people but unfortunately this dream was threatened with the onset of a civil war in my dear country. A situation that led me to Ghana as a refugee. When I later heard about shalom leadership program, I knew that God was still opening doors for my calling and so I grabbed it with all good intentions and enrolled.  While at shalom, I was guided through various biblical and leadership training that brought me to the limelight of ministry. I was privileged to have been trained under enlightened scholars that were highly spoken of and with leadership that was not too busy to listen to each student, dealing with us individually and bringing out the best in us. such an enviable environment prepared me to reach thus far and made me what I am today. By the special grace of God, I am what I am because of this institution, thanks to its leadership.

Juliana Nagbe (Mrs.)

During my stay as a refugee in Ghana, I was afforded the opportunity to develop my leadership capacity by attending Shalom Victory Bible College, an affiliate center of  Shalom Bible College and Seminary in West Des Moines, Iowa-USA  through the recommendation of a friend who himself was a refugee. This single most glorious opportunity saw me not only go through the walls of the institution as a student but also afforded me the opportunity to serve as a staff after graduation. This experiential knowledge along with the knowledge acquired as a student developed my leadership potential and has positioned me as a redemptive leader. My stay at Shalom Victory Bible College rekindled the desire to be a servant leader whose overarching purpose is to advance the cause of the Kindgom through effective leadership development. At my graduation ceremony, my valedictorian speech was entitled: Filling the leadership Vacuum. As someone who’s passionate about Christian leadership development, I can boldly say that the instituion played a very pivotal role in developing the leader in me.

Dr. Shalom M.S. Nimene, Sr.

I seize the privilege to openly express my heartfelt appreciation for the valuable education and moral guidance I received during my time at the leadership training program under Shalom Victory Bible College in Ghana. My graduation in 2006 marked a significant milestone in my life, and I am immensely grateful for the role the training played in shaping my character and academic foundation. The rigorous academic training has profoundly impacted my journey. The training emphasis on integrity, leadership, and community service inspired me to establish churches and academic institutions. These initiatives have allowed me to serve communities and nurture future leaders, reflecting on the code values instilled in me at Shalom Leadership Training Institution. The training that was acquired by dedicated faculty and the supportive environment fostered by the administration have been instrumental in my personal and professional development. At this point in my life, I am proud to join many others in advancing the mission of spreading knowledge and faith in Christ across the nation and the world at large. Thank God for the solid foundation I received under Shalom Leadership Training Institution.

There is no amount of words to express my thanks to Director Gibson for his unwavering commitment to the growth of all students. I am proud to be counted among the alumni of such a remarkable institution.

Bishop-Elect Gabriel Cole

In the book of  1 Corinthians 4:15, Paul told the Church,” Even if you had ten thousand guardians in Christ, you do not have many fathers, for in Christ Jesus I have become your father through the gospel.”

The relationship that Minister Leroy Gibson and I shared over the last thirty-plus years is the epitome of a spiritual father-son relationship. Our friendship alone has been volumes of goodness and trust.

Our bible school ministry (Victory International Bible Training School) was privileged to have him as one of the directors during his stay as a refugee in Ghana.  He proved himself to be an excellent teacher of the Word ” line upon line” through his years with us in Ghana.   Years later, after his country gained stability over the civil war, leroy and his family returned to Liberia (his homeland), where he continued leadership development training with local pastors and church workers.

Now that the Lord has led him to North America (Canada), our ministry, VIM GLOBAL Bible Training Institute, once again welcomed leroy again as director overseeing Canada. Our relationship remains not only on a Father-son level but also as co-laborers in Christ.

To God alone be the glory.

Rev. Dr. P. Ray Johnson

I am the senior pastor of the Harvest Fire Worship Center, located in Fargo, North Dakota, USA, and have been married for over 20 years.

I began my pastoral ministry at a very early age and have been a pastor for 30 years now. I hold a master’s degree in Divinity Studies from Shalom Victory Bible College, located in Ghana, West Africa, where Rev. Leroy Gibson served as Director at the time.

For me, Shalom Victory Bible College, which was chartered by Shalom Bible College and Seminary in Iowa, USA, was not just a bible college; it was a training center that instilled a strong moral discipline and the desire for the work of the Kingdom of God here on earth.

Shalom propelled and gave me such a deep compassion to reach the world with the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. The profound knowledge I received from Shalom has enabled me to become an effective pastor, missionary and administrator. I serve as an overseer of churches in Africa, Asia, the Americas, and Europe.

To God be all the Glory and Thanks to Rev. Leroy Gibson, who was obedient to the voice of God in establishing Shalom in Ghana, West Africa.

I remain forever grateful to Shalom.
